からの，多摩川ボートの会（＆ピクニック？）のお知らせです．
「多摩川でのARCボート遠足(?)」 ピーター「スカッシュフライ」ダウデン
日程：7/6（日）
集合：JR稲田堤駅に11:00
（京王線ではありません．ご注意！）
私（ピーター）は，そこまで私の大学（訳注：電通大）から「らくだ」
（訳注：ランサムサガ「ツバメ号の伝書バト」参照）で行けます．
昨日，年老いたボートマン（ボート乗り場のおじさん？）に会いました．
彼が私たちを待っていてくれます．多摩川にいる魚は彼のペットです．
魚達は餌をもらおうと，彼のボートのまわりに集まって待ってます．
彼はまるで，「六人の探偵たち」のうなぎとりの老人ハリーのようです．
もし，ARCのメンバーが手伝ってくれて，適当なボートが見つけられたら，
私は，きっと多摩川で小さなボートで帆走できると思います．
それはきっととても安い（？）にちがいありません．
でもとても古くてみすぼらしいボートでもＯＫです．

ARC BOATING EXPEDITION ON TAMAGAWA LAKE Hosted by Peter "Squashed Fly" Dowden
I hope somebody reading this can translate it into Nihon-go for the other readers!
I will be waiting at the JR Inadazutsumi station on Sunday at 11 oclock. Remember there is also a KEIO-sen station so please make sure you go to the JR one!
I can get there by Dromedary [Camel] from my university.
I met the old boatman yesterday and he will be expecting all of us. The fish in the Tamagawa river are his pets, and they all wait around his boat to be fed. He is like Old Harry the Eel man in The Big Six!
I am sure it would be possible to sail a small boat in this small Tamagawa-Mizumi, if members of ARC can help me to find a little boat. It must be very cheap though, but a very ugly old boat is OK.
