Maybe Sea Bear anbd White Bear also mean Polar Bear but they are very unusual names. To translate "Shirokuma" into "White Bear" is like translating "Polar Bear" into "Hokkyoku no kuma" -- it would sound strange, even if is correct.

: 'Mukashi Banashi' means only tale of old. We say 'yosei monogatari' for fairy tales.

Acceptable, but not very attractive. Maori language in New Zealand has the same problem. But traditionally English does not use accent marks on words from any foreign language.
