Dear Peter

I do same thing just now. Wayne Hammond makes bibliography of AR. And I am checking Japanese translations.

: 7. Umini Deru Tsumorijanakatta

It is not correct. Title is _Umi e deru tsumorijanakatta_

My dictionaty says 'Sea Bear', 'polar bear' and 'white bear' are equal, are not?

: Arthur Ransome No Roshia Mukashi Banashi

: Arthur Ransome's Russian Fairy Tales
'Mukashi Banashi' means only tale of old. We say 'yosei monogatari' for fairy tales.

: PS
: The Japanese here lacks the macrons which denote the long vowels. I dont like the alternative, of double vowels [like Tookyoo or Toukyou versus Tokyo].

For long vowels ^(accent circonflex) is acceptable.
