●MoMoとは
「MoMo（モビル-ムーヴメンテス）」とは、この時代の地球近辺の星域にて汎用的に使用されている人型兵器の略称。俗に「巨大ロボット」と呼ばれるカテゴリーのものである。
全高３０メートル前後。女性型の外観を持ち、骨格や関節も人間のそれを模してあるため巨大ロボット兵器でありながら人間に近い柔軟な動きや姿勢をトレースできるとされる。
量産を前提とした汎用モデルとして設計されているらしく、様々な戦局に対応できる柔軟さを備えたクセのない兵器として評価されている。
- About "MoMo"
The abbreviated name of the person type arms currently used with "MoMo (Movementess)" more nearly general-purpose than the star cluster calendar of the 2960s in this Galaxy.
It is a thing of the category commonly called a "huge battle robot."
Around 30 meters in overall height.
The frame and the joint have also imitated it of human with woman type appearance.
Though it is huge robot arms, it is flexible, and the motion near man can
be performed.
当星域には、もともと「Mobil-Movement＝モビルムーヴメント（機動人型兵士、動力の兵）」という語がロボット兵器全体を指す呼称として存在していた。
…しかし、「人型兵器」そのものが戦略上あまり需要がなく、呼称とともに普及しなかった。
MoMoの登場時、女性形である「Mobil-Movementess」として他と区別され、これを略し「MoMo」と表記する形で定着。 運用現場で発音される場合には「ムーヴメンテス」と短縮し呼称されるようになった。
●舞台
地球の歴にて２０５０年頃。
地球の周囲には約１９の星系からなる星団連邦（通称・星団）が結成されていた。
この組織は、「すべての星ぼしの平和と均衡を維持する」という名目にて結成されたものではあったが…
それぞれの星系間には、経済力・科学力・軍事力及び文化的価値観に相当の隔たりがあり、そのため、すべての星系において平等で平和的な交流が行われているとは言い難い状況にあった。
- Stage
As of star cluster calendar 2985, the star system of 19 including the earth has joined in the star cluster (galactic cluster federation).
Between each star system, economic strength, science power, the military strength, and cultural values have considerable distance.
Ithis in the situation which cannot be referred to as that equal and peaceful
exchange is performed in all the star systems.
一応、星団を安寧に統治するための「星団法」なるものも制定され、これの行使を目的とした連邦政府管轄の警察兼軍組織なるものが存在するが…文化・経済のみならず治安維持活動も「中央」が優先され、地方・辺境との格差は広がる一方。
そのため、中央の眼が届かない辺境の星系では、小規模戦闘（テロをはじめとした局地的な戦闘や略奪）が絶えない状況である。
The law for reigning over the Galaxy is made once, and the police and an army organization aiming at use of this exist.
However, not only as for culture and economy but maintenance of public order, priority is given to a "center", and the economical gap with rural areas is spreading steadily.
Therefore, terrorism does not die out in a district distant from a center.
どの星系のどの国家も、当然ながら「自国の利益」を優先し、他国とのパワーバランスの維持および政治的発言権の拡大を国是としつつ、さらに「あわよくば戦乱を利用して他国を出し抜きたい」といった政治的思惑にとらわれている。
…結果、いかに文明・科学が発達しても強者はより君臨し弱者は泣きを見るという構造は中世より変わらないと言える。
However civilization and science may progress, a strong man will reign more and the structure where the weak face hardships will not change from medieval times.
●MoMoの存在意義
各勢力のパワーバランスが拮抗し、膠着状態ながらも治安の安定している中央の星域と比べ、辺境では現在でも侵略まがいの強制併呑や収奪が起こっている。その際、小規模の暴動・武装蜂起から中〜大規模な戦乱へ発展するケースも少なくない。
その場合、連邦政府より直接の停戦命令が出されたり、武力介入が執行されることになっている。しかし、運転資金の不足や常任理事国による拒否権発動など、大国同士の政治的背景により「戦略的静観」との判断が下される場合もある。
（それどころか、大国そのものが戦乱を裏から仕掛け、バックアップするケースすらある）
…そのため、基本的には「当事者らによる自己解決・自己責任」が前提となってしまうのが現状である。
問題となるのは、均衡な戦力による対等な闘いにより、禍根なく決着される「以外」の場合である。
辺境の星域では、政治力・経済力が弱い等の理由により武装も薄く、いまだに前世代の古い兵器を使っているケースも多い。また、星系によっては条約等で文明度の上昇にリミットを設けられている場合もある。（原始植民星や、観光星として指定されている場合など）
…そういった弱い星が、圧倒的な武力により屈服（場合によっては、一方的な虐殺のすえ絶滅）させられてしまう例もある。
- The meaning in which MoMo exists
When it develops into war from terrorism, "the self-solution and self-responsibility by the party concerned" will be the requisite.
The case "except" being settled by the equal battle by balanced military power is a problem.
In the star of a frontier district, since political power and economic strength are weak, armaments are weak.
The example to which it is subjected by the target on the other hand with
overwhelming military power (it is end extinction of a slaughter depending
on the case) also has a weak star of power.
「ＭｏＭｏ」は、こういった不条理なケースに対し「戦力不均衡の是正」という名目にて、「Xodd(ゾッド)より貸与される兵器である。（※後述）
"MoMo" is arms lent from "Xodd" to such cases on the title which corrects military power imbalance.
一方的に蹂躙されるはずだった弱い星が、MoMoの活躍により絶滅をまぬがれた例は数多い。
ただし、「第３者は抗争に直接関与しない」という星団基本法に則った形となるため、直接的な戦闘判断やMoMoの操舵はあくまでもパイロットとして選ばれた現地の生物が行うことになる。
尚、パイロットはXoddによりランダムで選ばれる。

●Xoddとは
「Xodd（ゾッド）」とは、MoMoの設計、製造、および配荷（貸与）の一切を行っている組織。
通称「銀河工房Xodd（※１）」と呼ばれるが、正式な名称は不明となっている。（※２）
※１：「外来者」の意であるXenonと、「奇妙なもの」を表すoddの合成語
※２：彼らは、自己紹介・自己言及を殆ど行わない為
Xoddは２９６０年代、星団に突然現れた謎の組織体。 彼らの使節団は、人型ではあるが生きた人間ではなく、意思疎通もままならないまま交易が始まったとされる。
Xoddは特定の星系・特定の国家などに属しておらず、所在地や代表責任者、運転資金、さらにはその活動目的に至るまで一切が不明。 彼らは何の説明も要求もせず、ただ「必要とあらばMoMoを提供し、用が済めば持ち帰る」という行動で一貫している。
彼らは高い科学技術力を持ち（あるいは我々の世界の物理法則から逸脱した能力を備えており）、そのため追跡や捕獲、MoMoの奪取等は完全に無効であるという。
- About "Xodd"
The organization which is performing design of MoMo, manufacture, and loan
with "Xodd".
A formal name is unknown although called a common name "Galaxy studio
Xodd".
●MoMoの製造技術
MoMoは、エネルギーの供給源・メインジェネレーターとして超小型の「OP-iユニット」を胸部に２基搭載している。

これの発電能力はきわめて高く、そのためMoMoは単独兵器として他の追随を許さない絶対的なアドバンテージを持つに至ったとされる。
質量をほぼ100％の効率で熱量へと変換する「OP」は、基本原理こそ解明されているものの（現在の星団の科学力では）このサイズでの製造・量産はほぼ不可能と言われている。 また、製造だけでなくこれの運用・管理にも危険が伴うため、MoMoの場合は厳重なシーリングを受けブラックボックス化されている。
このOP-iユニットを「本体」と呼び、人型をしたボディ部は本体を収める「容れ物」という意味で
「筐体（きょうたい）」と呼ばれる。
…それほどまでに、このOP-iユニットの重要性は高いものとされる。
MoMoのビルディングは、すべてのパーツの製造から最終的な組み立てまでをXoddが行っている。
そのため、MoMoは星域全体で広く使用されておりながら謎に包まれた兵器となっている。
●ＭｏＭｏの材質
MoMoの体表は、インナーと呼ばれる継ぎ目のない「０次装甲」をベースとし、その上から「一次装甲」をまとう構成となっている。
一次装甲がカバーする部位は限定的で、関節部等はインナーが露出する。
ともに硬質ゴムを思わせる柔軟さを持ち、体躯の可動に応じて適度に伸びしなる反面、衝撃等の物理的なストレスにも強い耐性を示す。 また、荷電により硬度を制御できるという特殊な性質を持つ。
- The quality of the material of MoMo
The body surface of MoMo is based on "the 0th armoring" without the joint called an inner, and has composition clothed in "primary armoring" from on the.
Primary armoring is partial and the inner has exposed joint parts.
It is a flexible material which makes both hard rubber consider, and is
extended according to a twist of the body. Moreover, tolerance strong against
a shock is shown.
●ＭｏＭｏの色
Xoddの工房にて組み上げられたばかりの筐体は「ヌードモデル」と呼ばれ、その多くは白黒ブチ・モノトーンのカラーリングとなっている。
このデフォルト色は、俗に「オルカカラー（orca-color）」と呼ばれる。
ブチの箇所には多少の個体差が見られ、体表はその名（オルカ＝シャチ）の通り水に濡れたような滑らかな光沢がある。
