Re: Tygers of Pan Tang / Cancellation of show: Chinnerys/Southend on Sea
Some two months ago the Tygers were asked if they would appear as guest support for 'Mike Tramp', as 'Bonfire' were unable to fulfil the obligation. The shows had already been advertised in Classic Rock magazine indicating 'Bonfire' as support, so, the Tygers were asked to appear as 'Special Guests'.
Under this heading the Tygers opened up for Mike Tramp for the first time yesterday to a rapturous reception at JB's in Dudley - notably being asked to headline later in the year.
On the way to the next show, Chinnerys/Southend on Sea, Tygers Management received an urgent call resulting in the cancellation of the gig. Though Chinnerys management stated that most of the calls they'd had were enquiries regarding the Tygers appearance, they still went ahead with their decision to ask the Tygers to stand down due to financial constraints in-house.
Our sincere apologies to any disappointed people who were not informed sooner. We will see you on our next tour.
